Facility Infrastructure [AAR-540]


AAR-540 is responsible for assisting in the developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) of new and improved security systems developed by the division and for the certification and independent operational test and evaluation (IOT&E) of commercial systems.

The branch also provides for the management, planning, and operation of the Tranportation Security Laboratory (TSL) and physical security, safety, and environmental well being of all buildings associated with the TSL.

Other branch activities include providing support resources for baggage handling, database management, and inventory and local area network (LAN) operations; infrastructure of facilities, both internal and external; and TSL construction, maintenance, and repair.
