DOD's Technical Framework for Modeling and Simulation
The AIRMM system couples the Knowledge Formulation and Analysis Environment to the DoD Technical Framework for Modeling and Simulation to provide an integrated simulation planning and execution environment. The DoD Technical Framework incorporates a suite of formal object-oriented methods, interfaces, freely available tools and high-performance services for distributed simulation. This framework provides a highly structured process for selecting, initializing, and executing legacy-models and components. The Technical Framework will support an extensive high-fidelity gate-to-gate modeling environment. The prototype system, currently in development, is based on the DoD Technical Framework.
