System Analysis Recording ( S A R )
The System Analysis Recording (SAR) function will transfer data from the Host Computer System main
storage to magnetic tape during the operation of the NAS En Route Stage A System. SAR data consists of
air traffic information including flight plan, track data, system devices, and system input/outputs.
These magnetic tapes, known as SAR tapes, will subsequently be used as input to the Data Analysis and
Reduction Tool (DART) subsystem. The DART can be modified by adding more data reduction functions and
thus provide the user with specific analyses.
