Annie joined the Federal Aviation Administration in July 1999. In her current capacity she is responsible for implementing a framework (Balanced Scorecard) for achieving the organization's strategy, developing and implementing a business planning process, implementing an investment appraisal process, reporting on organizational performance, performing internal auditing, formulating out-year budgets, performing competitive analysis and benchmarking, and recommending and supporting process improvement initiatives. Prior to her current role, Annie was Branch Manager of the Engineering & Integration Services Branch responsible for supporting the research, test and evaluation, deployment, and evolution of Free Flight tools in the National Airspace System. Before joining the Federal Aviation Administration, Annie was employed by Conectiv (Atlantic Energy) where she worked from 1985 thru 1999. At Atlantic Energy, Annie held various positions including Manager of Infrastructure Management, Superintendent of Power Delivery Dispatch and Support, Project Manager for Merger Transition, Supervisor of System Operations Support, and Lead Engineer in Corporate Telecommunications. Annie also either lead or participated in several organizational change initiatives at Atlantic Energy, both on a corporate level and at a sub-unit level. Prior to joining Atlantic Energy Annie spent about one year each as an Engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration and Bolt, Beranek, and Newman Communications. Prior to this, she worked with the MITRE Corporation (1980-84) as a Member of Technical Staff in their McLean, Virginia office. Annie is a graduate of the George Washington University with a Masters of Science in Computer Science, completing the qualifying exam with superior performance, and the North Carolina A&T State University earning a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude. Annie has also done other postgraduate work in Computer Engineering at Drexel University. In addition, she is a graduate of the Executive Development Program of the Wharton School of Business. Annie and her husband, Larry, reside in Egg Harbor Township and have two sons, Nigel and Miles. |
