Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)

Notice of Intent to Prepare an EIS

 

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) has issued a Notice of Intent to prepare and consider an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for proposed improvements at Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey.    

 

Scoping meetings will be held to determine the scope of the EIS and identify the major project-related issues to be addressed and emphasized as part of this study.  Two scoping meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, November 1, 2000, at the Egg Harbor Township Municipal Building Court Room, 3515 Bargaintown Road, Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey 08234.  A resource agency scoping meeting will be held at 2:00pm followed by a public scoping meeting at 6:30pm.  Both meetings are open to the public.  Requests for airport tours and scoping field views are being accepted.  Please contact Cindy Blasberg at (609) 561-6643 (extension 314) to schedule an appointment.
